Three of the most common media nowadays: the CCTV camera (Closed Circuit TV), the slide projector and the video projector are all present in this piece, and together acting in a auto-suficient system. The camera is capturing the slide projector lens continuous movement trying to focus, yet it can’t find the focus because the slide tray is empty. The video camera is capturing the movement of the lens as real live footage and then sending it to the video projector; nothing is being taped or read from a tape. The result is a light projection and a video projection moving forward and backward completely synchronized. It is a demonstration of a media loop, a closed circuit continuous repetitive movement based on the machinery own automatic responses.
